Iran Twitter and affiliate scum

June 22, 2009 by cougarmark

I have been watching the news with the rest of the world as brave protesters take to the streets in Iran fighting for their vote.
Twitter has been the talk of the news and how vital it has been in helping with information etc. as the protesters and people throughout the world use it to stay up to date. Now a distrubing new trend – affiliate scum are now creating new twitter accounts – posting fake Iran links that only wind up on an e-researchcenter.com Obama landing page or others clearly an affiliate landing page of some kind. http://www.e-researchcenter.us.com/ I have removed the aff ids in this link.
Please don’t join in on this game – Twitter is finally serving a useful purpose only to be taken over by true scumbags.

The American Flag – Offensive – I don’t think so

May 28, 2009 by cougarmark

Fox News story reports that Kindred Hospital in Mansfield Texas forced an employee to take down an American Flag because it was ‘offensive’.
Now this makes me embarrassed – come on give it up and give me a break. This is the US I was just thinking why have I not put a flag up on my house yet this year – we moved and I need another pole holder for the porch.
If we acted like we did after 9-11 the whole country would be a better place – we ought to go back to wearing our flag shirts – putting them on our cars and truck and fire engines – none of us liked anything about those horrid days after the attack on America but I loved the feeling of USA unity afterwords. Its gone now – what will it take to bring it back? I hope we don’t have to wait for another tragedy. I’m putting my July 4th flag up this weekend – no reason to wait.

Oh and Kindred way to go on letting her put the flag back up – but really guys did it take a national scene to figure out it is not offensive but very commendable? Perhaps what needs to be removed from your hospital is the administration.

Offensive - I don't think so

twitter is replacing blogs

May 22, 2009 by cougarmark

Twitter is and should replace blogs.

Not all of them – but many. People need to learn to say something in fewer words.
I have been going twitter crazy lately – I don’t like the chit chat but I do like the linking, fast real time news etc.
Blogs have become out of control – I went through this week and deleted most of those I have subscribed to over the years. Too many words – no info.

CJ – Active – DeActived – Activated – Billing

May 15, 2009 by cougarmark

I get A Lot of emails from CJ, Commission Junction. I appreciate them as they inform me of new affiliates, new terms and most importantly new sales, higher payouts etc.
The emails I have come to expect and do not like are these – Advertiser x has been deactivated – please turn off your links. Now having been to CJ as an Advertiser and as an Affiliate I know this just a joke – what they are actually saying – VERY publicly is – hey Advertiser X – you forgot to pay your bill. Most networks upon realizing what has just happened freak out run to the accounting team and demand an immediate wire payment. Soon after that initial email I get another email – Advertiser X reactivated – please reinstate your links. Come on CJ guys this is no way to treat your advertisers or your affiliates. You need to do this in a different way. It happens several times a week – which is way too much. Save it for those Advertisers who really are not going to pay their bill.
