Passion in our online work and everything we do

By cougarmark

Michael Martine of Remarkablogger today gave some excellent advice for ecommerce sites.  This info is certainly applicable to affiliate marketing, lead generation, SEO, creating a valuable content driven site, social media and other online activities.

I especially appreciate tip 5 – passion for the product.

The number one reason for creating any site, blog, or social platform is generally money, passion, or both.  Its great to earn some money but if there’s no passion there may be little success.  I have recently started this blog and several sites based on passion.  Passion for affiliate marketing.  Passion for travel.  Passion for warm sandy beaches.  In having that passion customers, affiliates, friends feel that and respond to it.

If you create a site in a day – at least make it sell.  Make it powerful, passionate and fun.  Make it content driven, valuable and worth the time we – your customer prospects,  took to get there.  If you care so little for you own site that you won’t provide contact info – it probably is not worth creating in the first place.

As you can tell – I am passionate about doing sites right.  There is too much junk out there.  I don’t care how much money it makes over time – its still junk.

For those of you creating junk sites next time your mother, wife or best friend asks you how’s business – tell them the truth – its great – I have created 123 completely useless websites and all totaled they make me a ton of money every month from dummies who don’t know any better and end up clicking on the ads.  As a super affiliate recently pointed out – you may have to provide value soon.  Might as well do it now based on passion.  Passion to earn money – that’s a great reason to do it – now go do it right.

Look at the passion in the photo above – my brother David is passionate about sports – look at his toes pointed out – his wing span – whatever it is you do in diving – he’s doing it.  He didn’t just jump of that cliff – he dove passionatley – it shows.
