Today I ran across some news that Google Suggest is now standard on all Google searches. I was curious as I have used this some in the past and quickly discovered that I am now showing up on page one for various search terms related to SchoolClick.com and education leads. I’m excited by that but in reality I still have a lot of work to do as the first 5 search results are very interesting. Most of them resulted from just one really good article. I learned a lot by reading them and seeing what it is that helps get the very top rankings. I know what it takes, I sold SEO for a while, and I use SEO common sense stuff quite a bit. I don’t stick to all the tips and tricks I preach since in reality just providing the right content is good enough for me and for many of us. (notice I am not linking to my own site here – etc.) Anyway – good to see – but there is still a lot of work to be done.
I’ll be writing some more good content soon – articles that truly add to the mix and not mess up search results even more. I can’t wait until Google becomes so good get gets rid of a whole lot of spammy junk from the web – if it’s me that gets the ax – so be it at least when I search for something I might just find it.

Interesting point of view on the spammers. I only wish Google will give each of your pages a pass / fail in Webmaster Tools so you can know if a page is hurting you.
